"When you come for darshan and when I look at your soul, what I see is your True Self. And what I see is the beauty of what you hold inside of you. That's what I want you to see, and that's what I want you to realise for yourself."

— Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Darshan

A personal encounter in the Hindu tradition of bhakti

Darshan means 'sight' or 'seeing' — a personal encounter with Paramahamsa Vishwananda, a Satguru and founder of Bhakti Marga. Satguru is a Sanskrit term meaning 'true teacher,' one who lives the truth they teach and guides others to it.

Devotees describe darshan as a moment when something already present becomes easier to perceive. People often describe a sense of being seen, a settling, or a quiet that stays with them afterwards.

Darshan is open to everyone, regardless of faith or tradition.

Frequently Asked Questions

In the Hindu tradition, darshan is the experience of being in the presence of a Satguru and being seen in return. Paramahamsa Vishwananda has described it as helping to clear away what obscures a person's own connection to the divine. People describe their experience differently — some feel something they call profound, some feel calm, some feel nothing in particular at the time. There is no right experience and no wrong one.

Not at all! Darshan is for everyone. You don't need to be Hindu or even consider yourself spiritual — just come with an open heart. Paramahamsa Vishwananda's blessing is a gift of unconditional love, meant for anyone seeking a deeper connection, peace, or simply a beautiful experience.

Darshan is a joyful and festive occasion, and all are welcome to come as you are. We encourage beautiful, modest attire that reflects the sacredness of the experience. If wearing a tank top, please bring a shawl to cover your shoulders while receiving Darshan.

Yes! Feel free to bring books, photos, murtis (deities), or malas. Simply hand them to an attendant when approaching the front of the line. Items will also be available at the Bhakti Shop on site.

Paramahamsa Vishwananda speaks in English. Translations into Dutch and French will be available via the Telegram app. Please bring headphones and a phone with an internet connection if you need translation.

The venue is accessible. If you need any assistance during your visit, our team will be happy to help ensure you have a comfortable and enriching experience. Please let us know in advance.

Yes, free parking is available at the Centre Culturel Oetrange. We recommend arriving early to secure a spot close to the venue.
